*Overview*

WolfPro Engineering & Land Surveying Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead its structural discipline. The position holds sealing authority for structural work, sets technical direction for design and review, and mentors intermediate and junior staff, reporting directly to the Directors.

WolfPro is a locally owned engineering and land surveying firm established in 1961, formerly operating as Tryon. Civil, structural, geotechnical, materials testing, and land surveying services are delivered by one in-house team from offices in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek, serving clients across Western Canada. The structural practice covers residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial work, and extends well beyond buildings.

*Duties*

• Design reinforced concrete, structural steel, and wood buildings, including cast-in-place, ICF and pile foundations, framing, lateral systems, mezzanines, and pre-engineered building foundations.
• Design industrial structures, including skid and equipment foundations, pipe racks, access platforms, and modular units designed for transport and operating loads.
• Assess existing structures, including condition assessments, integrity audits, post-incident evaluations, seismic upgrades, tenant improvements, and renovations.
• Review and seal drawings, calculations, and letters of assurance, and conduct structural field reviews during construction.
• Coordinate with the in-house geotechnical, civil, and survey groups so that foundation design begins from site data rather than assumed values.
• Establish structural design standards and quality assurance procedures, and mentor engineers, EITs, and technologists.
• Prepare scopes, fee proposals, and schedules, and manage budgets and client communication on assigned projects.

*Requirements*

• P.Eng. registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or immediate eligibility for registration.
• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Eight or more years of structural design experience in a consulting environment, including at least three years carrying independent sealing authority.
• A record in building design, with exposure to industrial structures.
• Working knowledge of the BC Building Code, the National Building Code of Canada, and CSA S16, A23.3, O86, and S304.
• Proficiency with S-Frame, S-Concrete, Forte, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
• Class 5 driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Permanent entitlement to work in Canada, being Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. WolfPro does not sponsor work permits.

*Compensation and Benefits*

• Salary of $130,000 to $160,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus eligibility.
• Group benefits plan.
• Annual vacation and vacation pay in accordance with the Employment Standards Act (British Columbia), being two weeks with vacation pay at 4 percent of gross earnings, increasing to three weeks and 6 percent after five consecutive years of employment.
• Engineers and Geoscientists BC fees paid by the firm, together with the costs of continuing professional development, training, and associated travel and lodging.

*Location*

The position is based in the Fort St. John or Dawson Creek office. A hybrid or remote arrangement will be considered for the right candidate, with regular travel to the offices and project sites.

Pay: $130,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
