Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Admin/Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining precise records. This position will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Learn all aspects of payroll preparation. Support multi-state payroll processing and garnishments. Audit time and payroll data for accuracy.

Provide support for all payroll groups.

Process off-cycle checks, calculate garnishments and complex deductions. Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses. Prepare and submit reporting as necessary.

Ensure federal, state, and local tax compliance with ADP and all authoritative bodies.

Support HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management as well as recruiting.

Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions in the corporate office. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, affirmative actions, and investigations.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data.

Communicate and escalate issues as appropriate, keeping the CHRO up to speed on daily activities.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization

Experience processing high volume, multi-state, payroll

Strong work ethic and a team player

Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Ability to perform professionally in stressful situations; flexible and adaptable

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel

High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment.

Preferred Requirements

2+ years of proven payroll and general HR experience.

Compliance with federal and state wage laws, FMLA, leave laws and ACA.
