Hairdresser / Hair Stylist
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Hairdresser / Hair Stylist to provide professional haircare and styling services, deliver excellent customer service, and build long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Perform haircuts, trimming, blow-drying, styling, and hair setting to meet customer preferences and salon standards
- Provide hair colouring, highlighting, bleaching, perming, rebonding, and other hair services with technical accuracy
- Conduct hair and scalp assessments to recommend suitable treatments tailored to individual client needs
- Apply hair treatments such as nourishing, repairing, and scalp care services to improve hair health
- Consult with customers to understand their hairstyle preferences and requirements
- Recommend suitable hairstyles, treatments, and haircare products based on client consultations
- Provide professional advice on hair maintenance and home care to support client satisfaction
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits and loyalty
- Handle customer feedback professionally to maintain high service quality
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstation, tools, and equipment following salon SOPs and safety procedures
- Prepare products and equipment before each service to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in maintaining an organized and professional salon environment
- Promote hair treatments, packages, and salon services to support business growth
- Recommend and sell professional haircare products to meet customer needs
- Support the salon in achieving monthly sales targets through effective service and product sales
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Certificate or professional training in Hairdressing / Hair Styling preferred
- Previous experience in a hair salon or beauty industry is an advantage
- Good knowledge of hair cutting, colouring, styling, and treatment techniques
- Creativity with good attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
