About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Legal Affairs & Government Relations Specialist to take full responsibility for managing the company's legal affairs, government relations, licensing, permits, and regulatory procedures for our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong military or government-service background , excellent knowledge of dealing with governmental authorities, and the ability to efficiently manage and close all required procedures and approvals. This role requires a strong, disciplined, well-connected, and highly organized individual who can independently follow up with different government authorities and ensure that all company licenses and approvals are obtained, renewed, and maintained on time.

Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of all governmental and regulatory procedures related to the company's restaurant operations.

Manage the complete process of obtaining, renewing, modifying, and terminating all required licenses and permits.

Handle all procedures related to Civil Defense , including inspections, approvals, fire safety requirements, and required documentation.

Manage and follow up on all procedures with the Tourism Police and relevant tourism authorities.

Coordinate with municipalities, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other governmental entities.

Handle all licenses and approvals required for restaurant operations, including operational, commercial, environmental, health, safety, signage, and other applicable permits.

Follow up on governmental inspections, violations, official notices, and corrective actions until complete closure.

Coordinate all governmental requirements related to new restaurant openings, branch closures, renovations, expansions, and changes in business activities .

Maintain a complete database of all company licenses, permits, certificates, approvals, and expiration dates.

Ensure timely renewal of all licenses and prevent any operational disruption resulting from expired or missing permits.

Represent the company before governmental authorities whenever required.

Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant governmental authorities.

Monitor changes in governmental requirements and advise management accordingly.

Coordinate with Operations, HR, Finance, HSE, and other departments to ensure all regulatory requirements are completed properly and on time.

Prepare regular reports for management regarding the status of licenses, permits, pending governmental procedures, and potential regulatory risks.

Handle any additional legal affairs and governmental assignments requested by senior management.

Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field .

Strong preference for candidates with a military or government-service background , particularly former officers or personnel with significant experience in administration, security, governmental procedures, or regulatory affairs.

Ideally 10+ years of military or government-service experience or equivalent experience in governmental relations and regulatory affairs.

Proven experience dealing directly with government authorities and regulatory bodies.

Strong practical experience in licensing, permits, Civil Defense procedures, Tourism Police procedures, and restaurant/hospitality regulations .

Previous experience in the restaurant, hospitality, retail, FMCG, or multi-branch business sector is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of governmental procedures and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

Strong personality with the ability to deal professionally and confidently with different governmental authorities.

Highly disciplined, organized, responsible, and capable of working independently.

Ability to manage multiple procedures and deadlines simultaneously.

Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
