Financial Controller SOX and Business Controlling

We are seeking a Financial Controller with 2–5 years of relevant experience to strengthen our finance team. This role offers a balanced mix of compliance and operational finance, combining ownership of SOX controls with hands-on involvement in (project) financial management.
You will act as the local SOX expert and SPOC, ensuring a robust internal control environment, while also partnering closely with project managers to manage project financials, ensure data integrity in the ERP system, and drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
SOX Controls Ownership
Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all SOX-related matters locally
Own and maintain the internal control framework, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements
Support internal and external audits (walkthroughs, testing, documentation)
Ensure consistent and timely execution of control activities
Identify control gaps and lead remediation actions
Provide guidance and training to business stakeholders on controls and compliance
Act as key liaison with Group Finance (US) and Corporate (US) Internal Audit
Business Controlling & Project Support
Partner with project managers to prepare, monitor, and steer project financials
Own and maintain project setup and master data in the ERP system, ensuring accurate financial project reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking at project level
Drive cash planning and cash flow monitoring, improving visibility and predictability
Deliver performance reporting and analysis, translating data into actionable insights
Provide guidance on cost control, margin evolution, and financial risks
Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost allocation in line with US GAAP and Redwire accounting standards
Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and financial transparency across projects
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
2–5 years of experience in financial controlling, audit, or a mix of both
Knowledge of and hand-on experience with SOX/internal control frameworks
First experience in Business Controlling (budgeting, forecasting, analysis)
First experience with ERP systems (Redwire uses D365), including data and project structures
Familiarity with BE GAAP and/or US GAAP environments
Experience with reporting and BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric / Power BI)
