Job Title: Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist Banding: Band 6 Location: Wexham Park Hospital

Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months with option to extend Hourly Rate: £25-28 per hour Working Hours: 2 days per week (must include Thursday)

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist to join the team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled podiatrist with specialist diabetes experience to support the delivery of high-quality foot care services for patients with diabetes and complex lower limb conditions.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for patients at risk of diabetic foot complications.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialist podiatry services for patients with diabetes and high-risk foot conditions

Assess, diagnose, and manage complex diabetic foot problems

Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to improve patient outcomes

Provide preventative care, patient education, and self-management advice

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care

Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to local and national clinical guidelines

Contribute to service improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities

Qualifications and Experience

HCPC registered Podiatrist

Experience working with patients with diabetes and high-risk foot conditions

Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills within diabetic foot care

Ability to work autonomously and manage a specialist caseload

Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamworking skills

Previous NHS experience within a podiatry service is desirable
