Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (German Speaking)

You will be:
designing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes in an Azure environment,
managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform,
working with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes,
maintaining monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as Grafana and Checkmk,
integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines to support secure software delivery,
applying AI tools to everyday DevOps tasks, including code and script generation, automation, and technical documentation,
collaborating with engineering teams to improve deployment processes, infrastructure reliability, and operational efficiency,
contributing to Agile delivery processes using SAFe, Scrum, or similar frameworks.
Your profile:
5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer,
practical experience with Microsoft Azure,
strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes,
experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes,
experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Checkmk, or equivalent solutions,
hands-on experience using AI tools in DevOps work, for example to generate code and scripts, automate tasks, or create technical documentation,
understanding of security practices and experience integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines,
experience working in Agile environments, using SAFe, Scrum, or similar frameworks,
strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving infrastructure and delivery processes,
German at C1 level or native proficiency, with the ability to understand Swiss German,
good command of English (min. B2),
availability to work onsite in Zurich for up to 40% of the time.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
experience working in public-sector organizations or public companies,
experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
