Senior CMS – Drupal Engineer

JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a Senior Drupal Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based CMS solutions. You will deliver scalable, secure, and content-rich digital experiences, working closely with content, design, and engineering teams to power our web platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Design, build, and maintain custom Drupal modules, themes, and third-party integrations
• Configure content types, taxonomies, workflows, and multilingual content structures
• Optimize site performance, caching strategies, and security hardening for the Drupal platform
• Integrate Drupal with external APIs and headless/decoupled front-end applications
• Manage Drupal core/module upgrades, security patches, and site migrations
• Collaborate with content, design, and engineering teams on CMS-driven features and campaigns
• Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines for Drupal environments
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on Drupal best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve CMS-related production issues and performance bottlenecks
• Ensure compliance with accessibility and SEO best practices across the platform

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

• 5+ years of hands-on Drupal development experience (Drupal 9/10)
• Strong PHP development skills and familiarity with Drupal's module/theme architecture
• Experience with multilingual site setup (Arabic/English) and RTL support
• Familiarity with headless/decoupled Drupal and REST/JSON:API
• Understanding of site performance optimization and security hardening
• Experience with version control (Git) and Drupal deployment workflows (Composer, Drush)
• Good communication skills in both Arabic and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience with Drupal migrations from legacy CMS platforms
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks used in decoupled Drupal setups (React/Next.js)
• Exposure to cloud hosting platforms for Drupal (Acquia, Pantheon, AWS)
• Experience with automated testing for Drupal (PHPUnit, Behat)
