Job Purpose
The Manager IT Data Integration & Platforms is responsible for managing and optimising enterprise data platforms, API integrations, and technical data flows across the organisation with a particular focus on Pharma operations. The role ensures that data is secure, reliable, compliant, and easily accessible to support business operations, analytics, and regulatory requirements.
This role acts as a key bridge between IT and business teams, enabling scalable, well-governed data integrations across internal systems and external partners. The role serves as the primary IT owner of Data Integrator relationships and oversees integrations with CROs, Speciality Pharmacies, commercial ecosystem partner and any other partner integration.
Major Accountabilities
Data Integrator & Vendor Management
Serve as primary IT point of contact for Global Pharma commercial Data Integrators, helping the management of contracts, SLAs, data delivery schedules, and issue resolution
Lead technical integration discussions with Data Integrators, including data mapping, file specifications, and connectivity requirements
Manage vendor performance reviews and roadmap alignment for all commercial data partners and other partners
Coordinate data integrations with CROs (Contract Research Organizations), ensuring clinical-to-commercial data flows are compliant and fit-for-purpose
Oversee integrations with Specialty Pharmacies, Hub vendors, 3PLs, other commercial partners and any other partner
Data Integration & Platforms
Design, build, and maintain API integrations across core systems (e.g. Data Aggregators, Commercial Systems, ERP, CRM, LIMS, and external vendors)
Manage and optimise databases and cloud data platforms, including Azure, SharePoint, SQL, Databricks and Snowflake
Oversee end-to-end data flows, storage, and access controls across enterprise systems
Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure high availability and performance of data platforms
Coordinate data integrations with external vendors and service providers
Data Governance & Compliance
Define, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and best practices
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems
Manage master data and metadata, including data models, lineage, and documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards (e.g. GxP, SOX, GDPR, HIPAA)
Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections through well-maintained data documentation and controls
Partner with Legal, Compliance and Privacy Teams to ensure appropriate data use agreements are in place with all external vendors and data integrators
Data Quality & Stewardship
Monitor and continuously improve data quality, resolving data issues proactively
Maintain data documentation, metadata repositories, and lineage records
Provide data stewardship guidance and promote best practices across business functions
Deliver training and awareness sessions on data governance and data quality principles
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as a key technical partner to commercial and business teams, supporting data requests, enhancements, and analytics needs
Collaborate closely with IT colleagues, business analysts, and data stewards to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions
Support data-driven decision-making by ensuring trusted, well-structured data assets
Your profile
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience in data integration, data platforms, and/or enterprise application integration roles
Hands-on experience with API-based integrations and cloud data platforms
Hands-on experience managing integrations with CROs, speciality distributors or other pharma commercial ecosystems partners is a plus
Technical Skills
Strong experience with Azure data and integration services
Strong experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks
Solid background in databases and data platforms (SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, SharePoint)
Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality management, and metadata management
Understanding of regulated environments and compliance requirements in life sciences or similar industries (e.g. HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, GxP)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
