To support this, we are seeking a Payroll & Compliance Officer to join our manufacturing team in Nhlangano, Eswatini , reporting into the Finance Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of payroll, while ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met in full.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, suited to someone who is detail-oriented and comfortable working within a structured, compliance-driven environment. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of payroll data and ensuring that all legislative requirements are consistently met.

As the Payroll & Compliance Officer based in our manufacturing operation, your key responsibilities will include:

Executing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time

Maintaining payroll records and ensuring employee master data is accurate and up to date

Processing payroll inputs including deductions, leave, overtime and other adjustments

Reconciling payroll accounts and resolving any payroll-related queries

Preparing and submitting all statutory returns, including PAYE, VAT, tax returns, workers’ compensation and other required filings

Ensuring all statutory submissions are accurate and completed within required deadlines

Maintaining supporting documentation and engaging with relevant authorities on compliance matters

Monitoring legislative changes and ensuring payroll and compliance practices remain aligned

Supporting month-end payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements

Assisting with audit processes and maintaining strong internal controls across payroll and compliance

Providing payroll-related reporting and support to the Finance Controller

Skills and qualifications required:

Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

Proven experience in payroll administration and statutory compliance

Sound understanding of Eswatini payroll legislation and regulatory requirements

Experience working within a finance or similar structured environment

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with exposure to Sage 300 considered advantageous
