Commissioning Project Leads

COMMISSIONING PROJECT LEAD – EUROPE Lead the charge on mission-critical data centre delivery across Europe. We’re looking for a sharp, driven Commissioning Project Lead to take ownership of complex data centre commissioning projects across Europe — bringing critical systems, IT infrastructure, and high-performing project teams together safely, efficiently, and at pace. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-stakes environments. You’ll coordinate activity on and off site, guide Project Managers, Supervisors, and specialist subcontractors, and keep delivery moving from design through to final handover. What you’ll be driving: As Commissioning Project Lead, you’ll own the commissioning journey from early planning to final delivery, including: Design Phase Shape and review the Owner’s Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and key commissioning documentation. Build the Commissioning Plan and Programme, keeping project goals, milestones, and delivery timelines tightly aligned. Lead Commissioning Agent kick-off sessions that get stakeholders aligned, engaged, and ready to deliver. Create a clear, reliable project directory so critical information is organised, accessible, and ready when the team needs it. Construction Phase Run Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 Commissioning Workshops that keep teams focused, coordinated, and moving forward. Attend Factory and Field Witness Tests, oversee progress, and produce clear reports that evidence compliance and quality. Develop robust commissioning checklists across electrical, mechanical, monitoring, and safety systems. Draft Level 4 Test Scripts and Site Observation Reports that capture what matters and drive clear next actions. Lead weekly commissioning and client meetings, keeping communication sharp, transparent, and action focused. Own the Commissioning Tracker, making sure progress, actions, and priorities stay visible and under control. Acceptance Phase Drive Level 4 Commissioning across multiple systems, coordinating teams and clearing blockers quickly. Collate, analyse, and present Level 4 commissioning data in reports that give stakeholders confidence and clarity. Draft Level 5 Test Scripts and lead the Pre-Integrated Systems Testing Meeting to set the project up for a smooth final phase. Coordinate Level 5 Commissioning and produce the preliminary report, capturing outcomes, wins, and opportunities to improve. Handover Phase Coordinate training data collection so end users are confident and ready to operate the systems effectively. Review Operations & Maintenance procedures to confirm they are complete, accurate, and fit for handover. Lead Lessons Learnt Workshops that turn project insight into smarter delivery on future schemes. Deliver the Final Commissioning Report, closing the loop with a clear summary of progress, outcomes, and handover readiness. What you’ll bring: Trade apprenticeship or relevant qualifications BEng (Hons) in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience CSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS certification – Essential HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Prince 2 or equivalent project delivery qualification
