About Elavate

Elavate is a UK multi-collagen brand for women 40+, built to help them feel like themselves again through menopause and beyond.

We launched in 2024 and have grown into one of the fastest-growing DTC brands in the UK. We're fully bootstrapped and have grown almost entirely through performance ads.

It started when our founder, Alex, got fed up of buying his mum overpriced, low-quality, bad-tasting collagen. So he made one that actually works, tastes great and is affordable.

Creative is the engine of the business. Our strategists, in-house video editors and agency partners put out 100+ new ad concepts a month across influencer, UGC, high-production, AI and animation formats.

The role

Our goal is simple: launch the best ads possible, as fast as possible.

Our strategists write the scripts and brief the concepts. Our video editors, in-house and agency, build the ads. You own everything in between: you take a raw script and make sure it becomes a finished, launch-ready video ad, on time and with zero mistakes.

That means reviewing every edit, giving editors notes that make the ad better, keeping the pipeline moving, and using AI to make the whole process faster every week.

The bar: when you sign off an ad, it should be ready to go straight live, with no second check needed. Our north star is a concept briefed this week and live in the ad account by the following Thursday.

What you'll actually do

Most of your week goes on reviewing edits and working with editors. The rest goes on the pipeline, learning from live ads, AI and scripts.

Review every ad before it goes live

  • Watch every first draft from our in-house editors and agency partners, and leave timestamped notes in Frame.io.
  • Catch everything: captions, typos, clipped words, audio levels, pacing, weak B-roll, hooks that don't stitch into the body, the product showing too early.
  • Push past "correct" to "better": stronger hook visuals, music, SFX, text styles and cuts.
  • Plan 3-6 cutdowns and extra hook variations for each ad, so we test more versions of every idea.

Make our editors better

  • Turn scripts into clear briefs, with a short Loom showing the dream edit.
  • Give specific feedback ("change X because Y") so the same note never comes up twice.
  • Run weekly check-ins with your editors, match work to their strengths and keep output on track.

Keep the pipeline moving

  • Own the production board in Notion: assign edits, chase deadlines and reassign when someone's off.
  • Get influencer content over the line: every hook, every file and whitelisting access, tracked and ready.
  • Hand final files to media buying, named and labelled so launches are clean.

Learn from what's live

  • Read the comments on our live ads for objections, questions and new hook ideas.
  • Know which ads are winning and why, and bring those patterns into the next edit.
  • Keep a swipe file of the best DTC ads and new formats worth testing.

Build the AI workflow

  • Help build our AI editing pipeline, using tools like Claude Code, Higgsfield and ElevenLabs.
  • Keep teaching the system: feed it new formats, references and examples so the output improves every week.
  • Help editors adopt new tools, and check AI edits as closely as human ones.

Write and improve scripts

  • Review agency scripts and fix logic or flow issues before anything gets filmed.
  • Write bottom-of-funnel scripts, hooks and variations using our copy frameworks and AI tools.

What you'll bring

  • Strong with AI. You use Claude every day, you're comfortable in Claude Code, and you've built automated workflows that save real time.
  • A ruthless eye for detail. You spot a typo, a clipped word or a flicker on the first watch.
  • Clear, specific feedback. You can explain exactly what to change and why, in writing or on a Loom.
  • Technical confidence. You understand how video editing works (Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci or similar) and you pick up new tools fast.
  • Taste for direct response. You watch a lot of ads, you know why a hook stops the scroll, and you care whether an ad sells, not just how it looks.
  • A team player. You'll work under our senior strategists, so you're collaborative, responsive and active on Slack.
  • Ownership and speed. You juggle several projects, chase people without being chased, and figure things out before you ask.
  • No ego. You take blunt feedback well and act on it fast.
  • Based in the UK or Europe, working remotely.

Nice to have

  • A background in video editing, content creation or creative strategy. Any one of these is a great fit.
  • Experience at a DTC brand or performance agency. No supplement experience needed.
  • An understanding of acquisition numbers: ad spend, cost per purchase and what makes an ad scale.
  • An interest in direct response copywriting.
  • Something you've built yourself: a side project, a small business or a startup.

Where this goes

This is a junior role with a path to Creative Strategist.

You'll have access to sharp senior strategists and creative minds who'll help you improve your own skills. The progression is simple: you get better at creative yourself, and keep developing into a stronger strategist.

Our current junior strategists already run weekly editor meetings, review agency work and are moving into scripting.

Pay, perks and how we work

  • £40,000 - £45,000 base, depending on experience
  • A pay review at 3 months against agreed goals, then clear pay tiers from there

  • Private health insurance
  • A learning budget for courses, communities and coaching
  • Paid AI tools, including Claude
  • Remote-first, with flexible hours
  • Direct access to the founder

At Elavate we move fast, own our work and hold each other to a high standard. In return, you'll learn faster about creative here than almost anywhere else.

Our process is a screening call, an interview, a paid test task (you'll review a first-draft ad and leave notes to turn it into a winner), then a final interview and offer.
