Responsibilities
- Steer the global migration project from legacy rail communication systems to next-generation mobile platforms.
- Monitor technical specifications within international standard bodies to anticipate implementation and operational challenges.
- Lead the preparation of procurement tenders, including technical specifications for deployment, acceptance, and maintenance.
- Coordinate technical support during tender phases and manage supplier delivery against defined planning and quality standards.
- Define go-live strategies and validate operational and maintenance processes to ensure high service continuity.
- Oversee project budgets, resource capacity, and internal activities while providing structured progress reporting to management.
- Manage coordination with infrastructure operations and external rail operators to ensure interoperability and successful user acceptance testing.
Requirements
- 15+ years experience in Rail Telecommunications with a focus on FRMCS and GSM-R technical specifications.
- 15+ years leading the rollout of GSM-R technology and managing functional validation for networks and terminals.
- 15+ years deep knowledge of European TSI-CCS specifications and UIC technical standards.
- 15+ years professional experience in Project Management utilizing industry-standard tools within result-oriented environments.
- 15+ years experience in People Management and leading technical project teams.
- 15+ years of active participation and recognized contribution to UIC working groups regarding mobile communication systems.
- Knowledge of InfoSec requirements including NIS2, GDPR, and NKI standards.
- You possess strong presentation skills and a professional attitude toward management and stakeholders.
- You're able to demonstrate a responsible commitment to the project duration and adapt to organizational values.
- You are fluent in Dutch or French with a B2 level of English.

- Experience as a speaker at telecommunications conferences.
- Knowledge of the specific challenges within rail infrastructure IT environments.
