What you will be doing

We are looking for Cash Application Clerk II to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all customer payments are processed in a timely manner into the finance system

Ensure payments are allocated correctly ie multiple account splits, debit notes, pre-payments

Download daily payments from bank into system

Investigate unknown customer payments

Chase customers/liaise with Credit Controllers for remittances for payments already received

Ensure Cashier email box is managed on a daily basis, and save remits into G drive

Download remits daily

Update & cleardown daily credits/receipts for reconciliation purposes

Monitor & reconcile pro-forma accounts

Raise pro-forma invoices for any customer that has a Zero credit rating

Release orders for delivery for pro-forma accounts when payments received

Liaise with Customer Care and Warehouse regarding pro-forma orders

Raise Client Recharge for Discounts, DEX and Amazon non-Ceuta Non-Conformances

Raise ELIDA recharges in Excel and Siebel, and liaise with Clien

Ensure that all department activity is performed in accordance with company procedures and client instructions

Carry out any reasonable request as determined by Management

What your background should look like

Education:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.2+ years of experience in cash application, accounting, or a related field required.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail.

Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to make effective decisions and implement audit-ready processes.

Understanding of Contracts and Chargebacks is preferred.

Understanding of payroll processing software such as ADP is a plus.

Adept at handling sensitive and confidential situations.

Knowledge of general accounting and banking principles.

General knowledge of the accounts receivable and cash application process.

Proficiency in 10-key data entry.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
