Responsibilities:
- Installing cables, conduits, tubing, and switches.
- Using power tools safely and efficiently.
- Reading and understanding Electrical drawing, electrical codes.
- Following all electrical safety procedures.
- Repairing or replacing equipment, fixtures, and wiring.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
- Understand Electrical Commissioning and operation of SWBD (Switchboard).
- Understand the usages of electrical test tools
- Good Customer service skills.
- Basis Electrical tolls must bring
- Good Attitude, Teamwork player. Problem-solving.
- Installing and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and devices.
- Strict compliance with yard HSE and safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Requirements:
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant electrical technician experience in the marine, offshore, shipyard, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sector.
- Hands-on experience with electrical installation, cable pulling, cable termination, conduit and tubing installation, and equipment wiring.
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Familiar with electrical commissioning activities, switchboard (SWBD) operation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and compliance with HSE requirements.
- Able to safely operate electrical hand tools and power tools.
- Willing to work at Tuas Boulevard Yard .
- Able to commence work on short notice or immediately preferred.
