Logistics Coordinator (Incoterms/1 Year Contract/Metal Trading & Distribution Ind.)

Your tasks

• Liaise with freight forwarders to obtain shipping quotations, compare freight rates and recommend suitable shipping options.
• Coordinate and arrange air, sea and land shipments, including freight bookings and transportation.
• Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists, commercial invoices and other customs-related documentation.
• Coordinate customs clearance and liaise with freight forwarders and forwarding agents to ensure smooth shipment processing.
• Monitor shipment status, ETD/ETA, customs inspections, delays and final delivery.
• Obtain proof of delivery (POD) and maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
• Verify freight invoices against agreed quotations and report any discrepancies for clarification.
• Provide regular shipping updates and highlight shipment delays, exceptions or other issues to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Diploma or relevant qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in shipping coordination, freight forwarding or logistics operations.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation, customs clearance and freight booking procedures.
• Good coordination, communication and organisational skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and shipping documentation systems.
