Permanent Monday - Friday / 8.30am - 5pm / 37.5 hours Stoke on Trent £30,000

We're working with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join their busy team based in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the operation — planning, organising, coordinating and keeping everything moving ! You'll play a key role in ensuring manufactured goods are delivered to customers efficiently, cost-effectively and on time, working closely with customers, drivers, Production and Customer Service teams.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning delivery routes and arranging transportation of manufactured goods.
  • Booking deliveries with customers and communicating expected delivery times.
  • Sourcing the most cost-effective transportation options.
  • Communicating delivery ETAs and keeping customers updated.
  • Preparing drivers' delivery notes and associated documentation.
  • Liaising with Production and Customer Service to ensure OTIF (On Time, In Full) targets are achieved.
  • Quoting and arranging overseas deliveries once goods have been manufactured.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and data.
  • Supporting KPI reporting and despatch analysis.
  • Managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Working closely with internal teams, drivers and customers to resolve any delivery issues.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable juggling multiple priorities . You'll ideally have previous experience within Transport, Despatch, Logistics or a similar administrative/co-ordination environment , together with:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using Excel .
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to use your own initiative.
  • The ability to adapt quickly in a busy environment.
  • Good geographical knowledge would be advantageous.
  • The ability to work independently as well as being part of a small team.
