Retail Assistant (Permanent Part-Time)

About the company

We are looking for a reliable, customer-oriented, and hands-on Permanent Part-Time Retail Assistant member to join Grand Cru Wine Concierge. The successful candidate will support daily retail operations, provide excellent customer service, assist with inventory management, and perform food and beverage service when required.

Your tasks

1. Retail Operations

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of Grand Cru Wine Concierge.
• Greet customers, attend to enquiries, and provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle payments accurately.
• Maintain store cleanliness, product displays, and overall presentation.
• Assist with opening and closing duties when required.

2. Food & Beverage Service

• Provide hands-on table service, including serving food and beverages to customers.
• Assist with taking orders and ensuring the timely and accurate serving of food and drinks.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of dining and service areas.
• Ensure customers enjoy a pleasant dining and shopping experience.

3. Inventory & Stock Management

• Assist with receiving, checking, arranging, and replenishing stock.
• Ensure wine bottles and other products are properly displayed and stored.
• Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or low-stock items to the supervisor.
• Support stocktaking and inventory control activities.

4. General Support

• Assist with promotional activities, retail events, and in-store activations.
• Carry out other operational duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail, F&B, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, proactive, and customer-oriented, with a positive working attitude.
• Willing to perform hands-on duties across retail operations and food and beverage service.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to commit to 20 hours per week on a permanent part-time basis.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• An interest in wine and wine-related products is an advantage.

This is a permanent part-time position requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week. We are looking for someone who can commit to a consistent work schedule and contribute to the smooth running of our retail and food and beverage operations.
