Education:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience.

Tasks:

  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :

  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Forklift Operator Certification.

Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles).

Transportation/travel experience:

  • Local.

Security and safety:

  • Driver's validity licence check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).

Transportation/travel information:

  • Drive manual transmission vehicle.
  • Valid driver's licence.

Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
