Medical Laboratory Technician

Your tasks

To conduct laboratory investigations and ensure accurate, timely, and reliable laboratory results that support the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Record and manage patient data and laboratory results.
• Conduct records management and phlebotomy in the OPD and wards.
• Perform laboratory investigations and dispatch reports to wards and clinics.
• Prepare specimens and reagents according to standard operating procedures.
• Service and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Maintain an inventory of laboratory equipment.
• Manage inventory of blood and blood products.
• Prepare reports and account for resources allocated.
• Maintain the general cleanliness and safety of the working environment.

Requirements

Person/Job Specifications

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology/Techniques or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Certificate of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
• Registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council with a valid practicing license.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a reputable healthcare facility.
