Education:
No degree, certificate or diploma.
Work site environment:
Outdoors. Hot. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Relocation costs not covered by employer.
Tasks:
- Operate heavy equipment.
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
- Complete onboard and other logs.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Secure special attachments to equipment.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Area of work experience:
- Backfilling.
- Ditching.
- Excavation.
- Fine grading and finishing.
- Land clearing.
- Landscaping.
- Material handling.
- Rough grading.
- Slope grooming.
- Sloping and banking.
- Stock piling.
- Stripping.
- Sub-grade excavating.
Type of industry experience:
Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction. Residential construction. Road construction.
Security and safety:
Bondable. Driving record check (abstract).
Transportation/travel information:
Own transportation. Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence.
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Attention to detail.
