Accounting Manager
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Management: Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, reconcile physical stock with system records, and analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and inventory variances.
Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, track asset acquisitions and dispositions, and calculate monthly depreciation and amortization entries.
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and timely.
Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment collections.
Tax Compliance: Assist with tax audits and tax returns. Ensure compliance with local state and federal government reporting requirements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
Audit Support: Assist external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 10 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
Hands-on experience with accounting software is required (Logo, SAP, Oracle… ).
Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus (but not required).
Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles (GAAP or IFRS).
