Your tasks

As a Computer Vision / ML Engineer at Roundup Stats, you will design, implement, and optimize machine learning and computer vision models to extract meaningful information from live and recorded sports footage. You will work on end-to-end pipelines, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, validation, and deployment into production systems used by clients. Daily tasks include experimenting with neural network architectures, improving pattern recognition accuracy, writing efficient algorithms, and collaborating with data engineers and product teams to integrate models into analytics platforms. You will also help document workflows, monitor model performance, and iterate based on feedback from internal stakeholders and customers.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, software engineering principles, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with experience applying these techniques to computer vision or time-series sports data
  • Solid understanding of Statistics and Algorithms, particularly for model evaluation, feature engineering, and scalable ML solutions
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV)
  • Experience building and deploying ML models into production environments, preferably in real-time or near-real-time systems
  • Comfort working with large datasets, data pipelines, and version control tools (e.g., Git), plus familiarity with Python or other relevant programming languages
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and maintain a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset
