Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary Director of User Experience (UX) Design to lead our design efforts and shape the future of our products. In this role, you will oversee the UX design strategy, manage a team of talented designers, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive UX strategy aligned with Ref's business goals and user needs

Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Collaborate with product managers and engineering leads to define product roadmaps and features

Establish and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across all Ref products

Drive user research initiatives to inform design decisions and improve product usability

Present design concepts and strategies to executive leadership and stakeholders

Stay current with UX trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into Ref's design processes

Requirements

10+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Proven track record of leading design teams and delivering successful products in the B2B SaaS space

Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX design skills and strategic thinking

Experience with design thinking methodologies and user-centered design processes

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their impact on user experience

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; Master's degree preferred
