We are looking for a high-caliber Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing scalable data infrastructure, optimizing high-volume pipelines, and working alongside data platforms and analytics teams to turn raw data into high-value assets.

about the job

• Build reliable pipelines to collect, clean, and ingest structured and unstructured data across diverse sources into our modern data warehouse.
• Design robust data warehouse models and develop end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines. Maintain critical data jobs to ensure delivery and operational reliability.
• Deep dive into high-latency or failing data jobs, perform root-cause analysis, and apply advanced optimization techniques to minimize execution time and resource utilization.
• Partner closely with data analysts, business users, and platform engineers to normalize business requirements, standardise workflows, and co-develop core platform engine features.
• Organize scripts, data assets, and technical documentation in strict accordance with corporate governance policies and data compliance frameworks.

skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline from a reputable institution (a strong academic track record is highly regarded).
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional language, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Practical exposure or hands-on experience with modern big data technologies, including PySpark, Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Apache Flink.
