Metal Forming Equipment Operator

Metal Fabrication Machine Operator Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift: 1st Shift Starting Pay: From $27.00/hour (Higher pay available based on experience) Position Overview We are looking for a skilled Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to join a production team specializing in structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication. This position involves operating fabrication equipment, producing quality parts from technical drawings, and supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Set up and operate press brakes, shears, and related fabrication equipment to cut and form metal components.

Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production work orders.

Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools.

Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions and overall quality.

Move materials safely throughout the shop using forklifts and overhead cranes.

Follow safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Work with the production team to meet daily manufacturing goals.

Qualifications At least 2 years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.

Experience with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication.

Knowledge of layout and precision measuring tools.

Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to workplace safety.
