We’re doing some great things in Procurement at Ocado and are delighted to be recruiting for a new Analyst role within our Procurement Excellence team.

This is no normal Procurement Analyst role.

Procurement Excellence is the strategic engine of Ocado’s Procurement function. We’ve established a tech and AI-enabled function, underpinned by our market leading Omnea procurement platform ( check it out here ) and enterprise wide Claude rollout.

The Procurement Excellence function has the ownership of pushing the function forward across five core pillars (1) Systems & AI, (2) Data & Analytics, (3) Supplier Risk, (4) Process Excellence and (5) Policy & Governance.

What you will be doing:

Product Management of Omnea: Building out the platform, rapidly deploying new Agentic features, building new value-driving workflows, and arming Ocado with brilliant insight from our platform data

Redesigning core procurement processes that take advantage of Claude e.g building market research and contract negotiation playbooks

Building automated KPI dashboards and then focusing on the “so what?”, ensuring leadership are armed with insight not just data

Maturing our approach to Supplier Risk: focusing on what we really need to know, how to make that low touch and effort, and ensuring our central teams (Legal, Data Protection etc) work together as a unit

You don't need years of experience doing all of this - very few procurement teams are working at this level yet. What matters most to us is your mindset and core skills to help us build amazing things.

What you won’t be doing :

Routine back-office procurement

Running standard RFx cycles and bid analyses

Chasing and reviewing supplier paperwork

Endless manual spreadsheet crunching

Are you suitable?

Mindset: curiosity, an inquisitive nature, improvement focused. If you’re constantly thinking (and hopefully saying) “how can we do this better?” “how can we make this easier?” “why do we do it that way?” then you’ll fit right in

Core Skills: comfortable with AI (think well beyond the prompt box!), great with numbers and data, able to present complexity in simple terms, great with people
