Senior Sales Engineer
Job Overview: The Sales Engineer will be responsible for understanding customer technical requirements, presenting appropriate engineering solutions for our products/services, and achieving sales targets. This vital position acts as a bridge between our technical and sales teams, ensuring customized solutions meet complex client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand Client Requirements:
Conduct in-depth technical discussions with prospective and existing clients to accurately identify their technical and business needs.
- Present Technical Solutions: Showcase and explain products and services from a technical perspective, including preparing presentations, conducting demonstrations (Demos), and simplifying complex technical explanations for diverse audiences.
- Prepare Technical & Commercial Proposals: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop detailed technical and commercial proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Support Sales Cycle: Provide technical support to the sales team throughout all stages of the sales cycle, from initial qualification to deal closure.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on the latest technical and industry trends, and analyze competitor offerings to identify our products' competitive strengths.
Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Training & Support: Provide technical training and support to users and clients as needed.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently work towards and exceed defined sales objectives.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Product, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to provide client feedback and ensure continuous product improvement.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Communications, or a related technical field).
Experience: 5-7 Years as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical sales role, preferably in the if applicable, e.g., IT, Automation, Energy, Manufacturing] sector.
Key Competencies: Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients by understanding their needs, providing tailored technical solutions, and ensuring satisfaction.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly, present solutions convincingly, and effectively interact with diverse client and internal stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify client challenges, diagnose technical issues, and propose effective, value-driven engineering solutions.
Negotiation & Persuasion: Skill in influencing client decisions, overcoming objections, and negotiating favorable terms while maintaining a focus on long-term client relationships and sales targets.
