The firm is continuing to grow and is now seeking an experienced Audit Director to play a key role in leading client engagements, developing teams and contributing to the firm's long-term success Description With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality audit, accounting and advisory services, our client is seeking an experienced Audit professional to provide strategic leadership across its audit function. Working closely with the firm's leadership team, you will oversee a substantial portfolio of clients, lead complex audit engagements, drive audit quality and compliance, and act as a trusted adviser to entrepreneurial businesses and their stakeholders.

This role extends beyond audit delivery and offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of the practice. You will play a key role in developing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, mentoring senior members of the team and contributing to the commercial success of the firm. ACA, ACCA or equivalent professionally qualified accountant. Significant audit and assurance experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment. Proven track record of managing substantial audit portfolios and leading complex audit engagements for owner-managed businesses, corporate groups and regulated entities. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, Companies Act requirements and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs). Demonstrable experience of audit quality control, risk management and compliance with professional and regulatory standards. Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including mentoring Managers and Senior Managers. Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to act as a trusted adviser to business owners, boards and senior stakeholders. Commercially minded with a strong understanding of practice management, fee recovery, portfolio growth and business development. Ability to oversee multiple engagements, balancing competing priorities while maintaining the highest standards of client service and technical delivery. RI status, or the ambition and capability to achieve RI status, would be advantageous. Job Offer Competitive salary of £80,000 to £100,000, dependent on experience.
