Key responsibilities
Implement and uphold best practices in safety, health, environment, and security (SHES) within offshore brownfield and hook-up commissioning environments.
Support the execution of major projects in onshore/offshore production facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and SHES management systems.
Collaborate with internal and external project teams, contractors, and service companies to manage SHES-related aspects effectively.
Utilize strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills to contribute to the development and implementation of tailored project management systems for the oil & gas sector.
Influence decisions through effective communication, presentation, negotiation, and facilitation skills, promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in sciences, safety, health, environment, security, or engineering, or professional certifications such as NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, SHES-related NVQ level 5, or British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years' experience in SHES within the oil & gas industry, specifically with major project execution and brownfield environments for onshore/offshore production facilities.
Technical skills: Familiarity with SHES management systems and programs tailored for oil & gas. Experience working with project management systems implementation.
Business skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication abilities. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and facilitation skills with a talent for influencing key decisions.
Organizational skills: Advanced analytical, organizational, and planning capabilities.
Work schedule
Full-time, based in Raslaffan, Qatar (onshore) with a focus on offshore brownfield and hook-up commissioning projects.
