You report hierarchically to the Maintenance Manager of your assigned site, with a functional reporting line to the Group Senior Controls Engineer.
What does your day look like?
Main objectives
- You support or lead engineering projects on insulated panel lines and single skin production lines.
- You initiate, deploy and sign off process and efficiency improvement modifications to manufacturing systems.
- You carry out design and testing tasks linked to project proposals.
- You support the local engineering and production teams during major breakdowns or faults, often at short notice.
Main responsibilities
- You execute specific engineering tasks assigned by the Group Senior Controls Engineer.
- You provide software and electrical engineering input to divisional project and design teams.
- You produce electrical engineering designs and project deliverables in line with Kingspan engineering standards.
- You proactively identify and support value-added improvement initiatives.
- You work closely with Production, Quality, Safety and Controls colleagues to ensure plant priorities are met.
- You represent the Controls department in meetings and contribute actively from an engineering perspective.
- You continuously develop your skills by attending technical and safety training.
- You proactively correct and modify recurring machine processing faults.
- You ensure that any machinery modifications comply with CE machinery safety regulations and required performance levels.
Who are we looking for?
- You have a strong background in controls engineering, with profound knowledge of Siemens TIA, focusing on PLC and motion
- You understand communication protocols via SCADA, SQL, AWS and SAP databases
- You have knowledge of SQL; experience with AWS is a plus
- You are hands-on, analytical and solution-oriented
- You are willing to travel up to 25% of the time within Europe to internal Joris Ide sites
- You work independently but enjoy collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
