Strategic Purchaser
Accountabilities: As a Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring procurement activities support business objectives. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize cost, quality, and supply performance.
Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable contracts, and sustainable commercial agreements.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to improve supplier performance, availability, and long-term supply stability.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular reviews, collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with engineering, logistics, production, and operations teams to align sourcing decisions with business requirements.
Manage sourcing projects, including supplier onboarding, supplier development, and improvement plans for underperforming suppliers.
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and create measurable business value through procurement initiatives.
Take ownership of supplier-related decisions and contribute to strategic procurement planning.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines procurement expertise, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. You should be comfortable managing negotiations, analyzing business needs, and driving supplier-focused initiatives independently.
Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or commercial roles with exposure to contract negotiations (approximately 3+ years).
Strong understanding of supplier management, sourcing strategies, and commercial agreements.
Ability to analyze costs, evaluate supplier performance, and negotiate effective solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and seniority levels.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of procurement decisions.
Fluent English communication skills; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
