Staff Frontend Software Engineer | BASE Team

Accountabilities: As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer, you will take ownership of complex frontend initiatives while serving as a technical reference for engineering teams. You will contribute to architectural decisions, improve development practices, and help deliver scalable solutions that create value for users and the business.

Lead frontend development initiatives, influencing architecture and technical decisions across teams.

Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions for complex product challenges.

Take end-to-end ownership of critical product flows, from technical planning to implementation and delivery.

Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business goals into effective technical solutions.

Act as a communication bridge between engineering teams and other areas, ensuring alignment and clarity.

Serve as a technical mentor, supporting engineers and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence.

Define and improve frontend engineering practices, ensuring high standards for performance, reliability, and user experience.

Participate throughout the product lifecycle, contributing technical insights from discovery to execution.

Encourage a collaborative environment focused on innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced frontend engineer with strong technical depth, architectural knowledge, and the ability to influence engineering teams. You should combine advanced development skills with strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities.

Extensive experience as a frontend software engineer, with strong expertise in React and React Native.

Solid understanding of modern web and mobile application development.

Experience designing scalable systems, including distributed architectures, cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, Backend for Frontend (BFF), and Micro Frontends.

Strong knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL services, API integration, and frontend-backend collaboration.

Experience building complex, multi-tier applications with focus on performance and maintainability.

Ability to mentor engineers and act as a technical reference within a collaborative environment.

Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English, with the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Strong interest in continuous learning, technical growth, and self-development.
