Coating Inspector

Responsibilities:

 Inspect abrasive blasting, surface profile, and cleanliness (per SSPC/NACE) Verify ambient conditions (humidity, temperature, dew point) before and during coating application. Monitor mixing, thinning, and application of coatings (brush, spray, roller) to ensure compliance. Check wet & dry film thickness (WFT/DFT) using calibrated gauges.  Conduct holiday testing, adhesion testing, and other destructive/non-destructive tests  Ensure that surface preparation grades (e.g., Sa 2.5, St3) meet project requirements.  Monitor work for compliance to international standards (e.g., NACE) Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) for deviations and follow up on corrective actions. Attend pre-job meetings, participate in client and third-party inspections. Witness pull-off adhesion tests, salt contamination tests (Bresle method) Any other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

Must possess B. Eng/ B.Tech/HND or B.Sc in a science-related course, A certified coating inspector, proficient in MS Office, EXCEL & Internet, and Not less than 5 years of practical experience as a coating inspector with a minimum of NACE Level 2
