We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers performing technical reviews of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for mission-critical data center facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This role serves as the primary technical and project coordination lead, ensuring reviews are completed on schedule, meet client expectations, and comply with applicable Saudi Arabian regulations, client standards, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong operational knowledge of mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems, combined with proven project management, technical leadership, and stakeholder coordination experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Safety Engineers performing operational procedure reviews for mission-critical data center facilities.

Develop project execution plans, schedules, resource assignments, deliverable trackers, and status reports.

Monitor project progress, manage priorities, track milestones, and ensure client commitments are achieved.

Identify project risks, technical issues, schedule constraints, and quality concerns, and develop mitigation strategies.

Facilitate project meetings and communicate project status, risks, findings, and recommendations to leadership and client representatives.

Provide technical guidance during the review of SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs.

Ensure procedures accurately reflect facility configurations, operating philosophies, system redundancies, safety requirements, and operational best practices.

Review engineering comments and recommendations for technical accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Resolve technical conflicts and ensure standardized application of review criteria across all facilities and disciplines.

Perform final quality reviews before client submission and support final document acceptance.

Ensure procedures support safe and reliable operation of mission-critical infrastructure, including MV/LV electrical distribution, utility service and switching, UPS systems, standby generators, ATS, chilled water systems, cooling towers, CRAH units, pumps, valves, BMS, and EPMS.

Verify procedures properly address LOTO, Permit-to-Work, PPE, electrical safety, arc flash hazards, isolation and verification requirements, emergency response, and operational risk mitigation.

Establish quality review processes, maintain document control, track revisions, and ensure technical comments are properly addressed.

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and coordinate technical meetings with client operations, engineering, and facility management teams.

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, workload assignment, and performance monitoring for assigned engineers.

Promote collaboration, accountability, safety, technical excellence, operational reliability, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications:

10+ years of experience supporting mission-critical facilities, data center operations, facility engineering, commissioning, operational readiness, or critical infrastructure environments.

5+ years of project management, program management, or technical team leadership experience leading complex engineering or operations projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Demonstrated experience with mission-critical facility operations and maintenance.

Experience reviewing, developing, approving, or managing SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs for critical facilities.

Direct experience supporting mission-critical facilities in Saudi Arabia or the broader GCC region.

Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure supporting Tier III and Tier IV data centers.

Strong knowledge of mission-critical systems, including electrical distribution, UPS, generators, ATS, chilled water systems, cooling towers, CRAH units, pumps, valves, BMS, and EPMS.

Working knowledge of mission-critical standards, codes, and operational best practices, including ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, IEC, Uptime Institute Tier Standards, TIA-942, BICSI, IBC, IFC, IECC, local authority requirements, and applicable international standards.

Strong understanding of LOTO, Permit-to-Work, PPE, electrical safety, arc flash hazards, emergency response, operational risk management, and procedure validation.

Ability to analyze complex operational procedures and provide practical technical recommendations.

Excellent project planning, coordination, communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center operations.

Experience with mission-critical electrical distribution, mechanical cooling infrastructure, facility engineering, maintenance, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness.

Experience managing operational procedure review programs for mission-critical facilities.

Experience in document control, technical procedure development, multi-site programs, or portfolio-level technical delivery.

Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent professional registration.

Experience serving as a Commissioning Authority (CxA), Owner’s Engineer, or Owner’s Representative.

Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, CDCP, Uptime Institute ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30-Hour, or relevant client-specific operational training are preferred.
