Assist in preparing infection control reports, surveillance data, and infection rates.

Participate in developing and updating departmental policies and procedures.

Monitor compliance with hospital hygiene and infection control standards across all departments.

Monitor nursing practices to ensure compliance with infection control standards, including IV cannula insertion and dating, urinary catheter insertion, and wound dressing.

Monitor nursing staff during medication administration to ensure proper infection control practices are followed.

Monitor nursing staff’s compliance with proper medical waste segregation and disposal procedures.

Provide guidance and support to all hospital departments on preventing and controlling healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).

Conduct infection surveillance activities in collaboration with the Microbiology Physician.

Conduct epidemiological assessments and investigations across hospital departments in collaboration with the Microbiology Physician to identify infection control issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Provide guidance to nursing staff regarding isolation precautions, personal protective measures, and appropriate infection control interventions for patients with infectious conditions.

Participate in the planning and implementation of infection prevention and control programs.

Develop and maintain an effective infection reporting and notification system.

Participate in the selection of infection control supplies and equipment, including disinfectants and single-use items, and provide guidance on their proper use.

Maintain accurate patient-related infection control data and surveillance records to support ongoing monitoring and reporting activities.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, or Nursing .

Diploma in Infection Control .

Experience 1–3 years of experience in Infection Control or a related healthcare field.

Relevant internal and external training courses in Infection Prevention and Control.

Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and observation skills .

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with different hospital departments.
