Role Overview:

Cisco is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Global Client Operations Delivery Manager to join our Commerce Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end governance, compliance, accuracy, operational excellence of global commissions operations (Americas, APJC and EMEA- more than 90 operating countries) and sales incentive compensation programs. You will serve as a key bridge between Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Sales Compensation, Sales Operations and SOX, ensuring that our commission operation is not only compliant with regional regulations but are also optimized to drive high-performance behaviors across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Direct worldwide monthly sales commission calculation cycles and multi-currency payroll transmissions across 90+ statutory jurisdictions, enforcing strict cut-off schedules, funding validations, and payout accuracy under compressed month-end timelines
  • Govern the operational execution of multifaceted global incentive structures, including annual/semi-annual sales plans, multi-tier accelerator curves, recoverable/non-recoverable draws, SPIFFs, MBOs, management overlays, and split-crediting agreements
  • Define and maintain robust internal controls, audit frameworks, and standard operating procedures to mitigate risk, ensure global compliance, comply with international labor/ work council regulations, local tax laws and corporate governance standards.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Payroll, Sales Compensation, Sales Operation and SOX teams to align incentive plan designs with business objectives and ensure seamless data integration across systems.
  • Architect and execute global platform migrations and operational consolidation initiatives that collapse fragmented multi-theater payment cycles into unified, standardized global execution frameworks—targeting 50% to 75% reductions in total processing cycle time
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex compensation inquiries and legal cases, providing clear, concise, and professional guidance to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Define, maintain, and rigorously test comprehensive internal control environments, walk through documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure flawless audit defensibility for internal and external auditors
  • Oversee complex statutory compliance frameworks across diverse international jurisdictions, ensuring full adherence to local labor laws, European Works Council (EWC)mandates, cross-border tax withholding, and local statutory filings
  • Govern the operational execution of multifaceted global incentive structures, including annual/semi-annual sales plans, multi-tier accelerator curves, recoverable/non-recoverable draws, SPIFFs, MBOs, management overlays, and split-crediting agreements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 10-15+ years of professional experience in global sales incentive compensation, financial operations, and payroll governance experience within a large, Fortune 500 / multinational technology enterprise
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent recognized professional accounting designation strongly preferred / required
  • Proven track leading large-scale enterprise compensation engine migrations and administration (SAP Commissions / Callidus Cloud, Oracle OIC / SPM, Anaplan, Xactly)
  • Hands-on proficiency with enterprise HRIS/ERP systems (Workday HCM, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Financials, Salesforce CRM)
  • Expert ability to analyze massive datasets, model compensation expense scenarios, and synthesize complex operational metrics into executive-level dashboards
  • Demonstrated expertise governing compensation and payroll operations across 90+ countries across Americas, APJC and EMEA, including hands-on experience navigating international tax treatments and Works Council governance
  • Audit or Compliance background in global Financial Services Audit or Corporate Tax Advisory (Ernst & Young, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG etc) with deep expertise in SOX control design, substantive testing, and statutory compliance
