Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction, engineering, real estate, industrial, and facility management sectors. Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, project owners, facility managers, and key stakeholders. Promote engineering solutions, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, fire protection systems, electrical installations, water treatment systems, refrigeration, and facility maintenance services. Lead the entire business development process from prospecting through negotiation, contract award, and project handover. Follow up on enquiries, RFQs, proposals, quotations, and submitted bids to maximize conversion opportunities. Coordinate with estimating, engineering, procurement, and project teams to develop competitive proposals and technical solutions. Conduct regular client visits, site inspections, networking events, exhibitions, and industry meetings to generate new business. Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM systems. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly business development reports for management. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects to identify strategic opportunities. Support contract negotiations and assist with follow-up on approvals, purchase orders, contracts, and payments where required. Build long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business and referrals. Achieve and exceed assigned revenue and business development targets.

Requirements:

Minimum of an HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years' experience in business development, sales, engineering, construction, MEP, infrastructure, real estate, or facility management. Strong understanding of the Nigerian construction and engineering industry. Demonstrated success in generating new business and closing high-value projects. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex sales cycles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms. Ability to prepare professional reports, proposals, presentations, and client correspondence. Highly organized, target-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently. Excellent written and spoken English. A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within Lagos and other locations as required is an added advantage.
