HVAC Engineer

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the HVAC department, ensuring efficient project delivery and team performance. Design, review, and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems. Plan, coordinate, and monitor HVAC projects from inception to completion. Review HVAC and MEP drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation. Ensure all HVAC works comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution. Prepare project schedules, reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation. Monitor project quality, timelines, budgets, and safety compliance. Troubleshoot technical challenges and implement effective engineering solutions.

Requirements:

A minimum of a B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC engineering. Strong hands-on experience in HVAC design, installation, testing, and commissioning. Proven experience working in MEP contracting or construction project environments. Demonstrated leadership experience managing HVAC teams and multiple projects. Ability to read and interpret HVAC/MEP drawings and technical specifications. Sound knowledge of HVAC standards, building codes, and industry best practices. Excellent project management, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Professional certification or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE, ASHRAE, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
