On behalf of the Northern European private equity firm Axcel Management A/S, Momentum Consulting is looking for a talented and ambitious Finance Manager to join the Finance and Accounting team at the office on Sankt Annæ Plads in Copenhagen.

Your tasks

Axcel’s mission is to create lasting value through strategic guidance and specialized expertise, a mission in which you, as the Finance Manager, will play a pivotal role.

Initially, your primary focus will be on core responsibilities within the finance function, including:

• Collecting, processing, and presenting financial data from portfolio companies
• Communicating and reporting data transparently and understandably for both internal and external stakeholders
• Bookkeeping and performing quarterly reconciliations and closing procedures
• Preparing fund reports for accurate and timely delivery
• Drafting annual reports and tax returns for funds
• Supporting other functions such as compliance, risk management, and investor relations (e.g. onboarding of investors).

In time, the position may evolve to encompass a wider range of responsibilities.

Requirements

We are looking for a Finance Manager with a strong foundation in finance and a genuine drive to deepen their knowledge within accounting, taxation, and financial legislation. You hold a relevant master’s degree in accounting (e.g. cand.merc.aud) or a related field and have a few years of relevant experience, preferably from private equity or a similar environment, for example from an audit firm with private equity funds and portfolio companies among your clients, or from a finance role in a fund, investment or holding company. Hands-on experience with annual reports and tax returns will be valuable in the role. We work with AI in our daily work, and an interest in AI and how it can support the work of a finance function will be considered an advantage.
