Customs Clearance Specialist - Airport

Coordinate customs clearance activities for import and export shipments through airports, seaports, and Free Zone authorities.

Prepare, review, and verify customs documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable customs regulations.

Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of shipments.

Follow up on customs declarations, permits, and approvals required for import and export transactions.

Coordinate with internal departments to obtain the required shipping and customs documents before shipment clearance.

Monitor shipment status and resolve customs clearance issues to minimize delays.

Ensure compliance with Free Zone regulations and customs procedures for all import and export activities.

Maintain accurate customs records and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.

Coordinate the payment and settlement of customs-related charges, duties, and service fees when applicable.

Follow up with airport authorities regarding urgent shipments and ensure timely release of cargo.

Prepare periodic reports on customs clearance activities and shipment status.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customs clearance efficiency and reduce lead time.
