About the role: 

We are seeking a  Senior Full Stack Engineering Manager with deep expertise in  backend systems (TypeScript, microservices, cloud)  to lead multiple engineering teams building the  Affinidi Elements platform. While you will manage and support teams working across the full stack (backend, frontend, platform infrastructure), your technical depth and demonstrated experience in backend engineering will be crucial in guiding architecture, ensuring quality, and driving technical strategy.

This role blends  people leadership  with  technical leadership : you will grow high-performing fullstack teams, define best practices across the stack, and remain hands-on in critical technical decisions to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and performant.

Lead multiple engineering teams, providing  vision, direction, and coaching  to managers, staff engineers, and senior ICs

Drive  engineering execution and on-time delivery  of secure, performant, and customer-centric systems

Proven track record of leading engineering organizations in global, high-growth environments while driving on-time delivery of high-quality systems at scale

Possess strong  leadership skills : coaching, mentoring, developing leaders, and fostering high-performing, inclusive teams

Are skilled at balancing  strategic vision  with  practical execution , aligning engineering teams with business outcomes

Possess strong knowledge of  TypeScript/Node.js ;  Dart experience is preferred; familiarity with C#, Go, or similar is a plus

Have experience with  React/Next.js  and/or Flutter , demonstrates solid understanding of modern web and/or mobile development practices

Demonstrate proven success in  designing, deploying, and scaling microservices  in cloud environments, specifically, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Advocate for  privacy, security, cryptography , and resilient system design; experience with  asynchronous cryptography and identity/authentication domains  is a strong plus

Are skilled at balancing  technical leadership  and  people leadership , growing teams while staying engaged in critical technical decisions

Excel at  cross-functional collaboration  with product, design, and security stakeholders

Thrive in  fast-moving startup environments , building autonomous teams that experiment, learn, and deliver at speed

Bonus points:

Expertise in decentralized identity solutions

Experience building systems with advanced cryptography requirements
