physiotherapy assistant

Working under indirect supervision of the Physiotherapist, you will work closely with the residents to help them achieve their goals set out by the physiotherapist.

• Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the assessment and treatment plans for individuals living in residential care communities
• Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, range of motion, strengthening, and application of modalities. (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, etc.)
• Deliver safe and therapeutic exercise classes for groups of residents
• Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a resident's status or treatments.
• Record daily treatments in a professional way and as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
