Lead Data Analyst
Description
We are seeking a highly experienced lead data analyst to lead data analysis initiatives across our fintech organization. This role is responsible for transforming transactional and operational data into strategic insights, influencing decision-making at leadership level, and driving revenue protection, optimization, and data monetization initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead and own company-wide data analysis initiatives related to payments, wallets, collections, and customer behavior
Define and track fintech KPIs (transactions, revenue, failures, recovery, customer lifecycle)
Identify revenue leakage, operational gaps, and optimization opportunities and propose data-backed solutions
Partner with operations, product, risk, finance, and IT/core systems to drive data-driven change
Oversee analysis of high-volume financial and transactional datasets
Design and review executive dashboards and management reports
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business logic
Support audits, compliance, and regulatory data requests
Mentor and guide analysts and enforce best practices
Contribute to data governance, quality standards, and documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, finance, or related field
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in data analytics (fintech, banking, payments preferred)
Expert-level SQL skills (Oracle preferred)
Strong understanding of wallets, payment flows, cash-in/cash-out, reconciliation, and collections
Experience working with large transactional datasets
Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Ability to translate data into executive-level insights
Preferred Skills
Experience with core banking or digital wallet systems
Knowledge of revenue assurance, fraud, and risk analytics
Exposure to ETL pipelines and data modeling
Experience contributing to data monetization initiatives
Strong leadership and ownership mindset
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to challenge existing processes using data
Comfortable presenting to senior management and executives
High attention to detail and accountability
