Electrical Engineer

Your tasks

• Operate and maintain main and emergency switchboards, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and power distribution panels.
• Responsible for engine room monitoring sensors, alarm systems, and automated machinery
• Maintain bridge electronics, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System GMDSS equipment, GPS, radars, and navigational lights
• Diagnose electrical or electronic faults and execute emergency or preventive repairs across deck, engine, and accommodation spaces
• Work under the Chief Engineer as part of the engineering department, cooperating with both deck and shore-based technicians

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Marine Engineering
• ETO Certificate of Competency
• Mandatory STCW Basic Safety Training and specialized endorsements such as High Voltage Safety and Engine Room Resource Management.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate meeting International Maritime Organization IMO standards, including good vision and non-color-blindness required for color-coded wiring and alarms.
