Associate Consultant - Paediatric Cardiac Surgery
Your tasks
To diagnose and manage paediatric patients requiring cardiac surgery, ensuring timely and effective treatment and optimal patient outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat paediatric conditions and conduct cardiovascular surgeries.
- Implement patient care management plans.
- Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
- Participate in training programmes for all health professionals.
- Supervise medical officers, interns, and trainees.
- Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs, and other logistics.
- Prepare duty rosters.
Requirements
Person/Job Specifications
- MB.Ch.B. degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Master of Medicine degree in General Surgery from a recognized university/institution.
- Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
- Valid practicing license.
- Working experience of at least three (3) years as a Medical Officer.
