Desktop Engineer – Automation & Scripting

We are looking for a Desktop Engineer with strong troubleshooting, scripting and automation skills to provide end-user IT support while identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual administrative work.

The successful candidate should have a good understanding of scripting and automation concepts, with hands-on experience in Command Prompt, Batch scripting and VBScript. Knowledge of AI and digitalization tools, as well as the ability to develop practical automation solutions, will be an advantage.

Job Description:

• Provide desktop and end-user IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software and Windows-related issues.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine IT and administrative tasks.
• Use Command Prompt, Batch files and VBScript for automation and deployment activities.
• Identify repetitive processes and recommend automation solutions to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Support IT digitalization initiatives, including the use of AI-assisted tools and automation techniques.
• Troubleshoot and enhance automation scripts based on operational requirements.
• Document automation processes and provide technical support to users and IT teams.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in Desktop Support / Desktop Engineering or a similar IT support role.
• Knowledge of Batch scripting, VBScript and Command Prompt.
• Basic understanding of programming and scripting logic.
• Interest or experience in automation, AI and digitalization will be an advantage.
