WATERFRONT OPERATIONS MANAGER

You will serve as a WATERFRONT OPERATIONS MANAGER in the WATERFRONT OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Major duties

• You will ensure department goals are aligned to Command Strategic Plans.
• You will develop training requirements to ensure skill sets are developed.
• You will review evaluations of non-supervisory employees, assure reasonable quality of induvial employee performance objectives, standards and ratings among organization units.
• You will establish department controls ensuring compliance, maximizing effective use of resources and minimizing fraud, waste and abuse.
• You will establish and execute policies and procedures for Waterfront Operations Department as well as oversee a number of highly technical fleet support programs.
• You will lead long-range strategic planning.
• You will develop goals and objectives for the department.
• You will compile, study and analyze existing programs and business practives.
• You will serve as a central point of contact on metrics and reengineering.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing and managing (collect, analyze, and interpret) metrics and program analytics for the department including but not limited to presentation of metrics both internally and externally to the command, developing, managing, and educating others on complex ship maintenance and ship repair processes, incorporating availability lessons learned, as well as reviewing annually to ensure compliance to local and global regulations, instructions, and laws. The incumbent will need to provide departmental ship class team oversight of the integrity of waterfront operations by ensuring compliance with established departmental resourcing and policy, requirements, processes, and programs to include proper use of funding.
