Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents.

Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) .

Record and monitor supplier and customer invoices.

Prepare and perform bank reconciliations .

Perform supplier and customer account reconciliations.

Record import-related expenses, including freight, customs, clearance, transportation and other associated costs.

Assist with import costing and landed cost calculations .

Review invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers, freight forwarders and customs/clearance agents when required.

Monitor outstanding payments and collections.

Maintain proper filing of accounting and import/export documentation.

Assist with VAT, tax and other statutory accounting requirements in Egypt.

Prepare periodic accounting reports and analysis as required.

Support month-end closing activities.

Work closely with management to ensure that financial and operational documents are complete and properly recorded.

Follow up on pending documents, payments and accounting issues until completion.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field .

3–4 years of relevant accounting experience .

Previous experience in an Import/Export, Trading, Distribution or International Business company is strongly preferred.

Good understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliation and general accounting principles .

Practical understanding of import transactions, customs, freight and landed costs is preferred.

Good knowledge of Egyptian accounting and tax requirements.

Good command of English , both written and spoken.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with an accounting ERP/system such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle or similar is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Strong follow-up and communication skills.

Honest, responsible and committed to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.

Preferred Candidate We would particularly value candidates who have: Worked for an import/export or trading company .

Experience dealing with banks, freight forwarders, customs brokers and suppliers .

Experience handling foreign currency transactions.

Good practical knowledge of Excel, including formulas, reconciliation and reporting.

The ability to identify discrepancies and follow them through to resolution.

A proactive working style rather than waiting for instructions for every task.
