*Overview*
Join our Tavern team as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional food service experiences. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where guests enjoy high-quality dishes served with care and professionalism.
Although our schedule may change due to availability, we are looking for people who can work Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays.
*Duties*
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to uphold health regulations and sanitation standards
- Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive food service to guests
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple cooking stations and assisting with meal assembly
- Follow instructions from head chefs or kitchen managers to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes
*Requirements*
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Basic knowledge of serving protocols and customer service principles is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
